Making new friends along the way my paths crossed with Sacrilege, one of my favorite Arizona transplants who has an amazing story and journey to share. Advocating sobriety, hard-work and mastering your passions. Sacrilege speaks from the heart in his music and puts his soul into his creations.

Music has always been my one and only positive and non-self-destructive outlet. Like a lot of musicians, my upbringing was pretty bleak. Drug abuse and gang culture was ingrained pretty heavily within my family and because of that I wanted to be the exact opposite. Needless to say I was drawn to counter culture early on in my teens. At 15 I discovered punk rock and formed my first punk band. From 16 to 20 I played in a series of punk rock and hardcore bands touring California and the West Coast. I grew up on west coast rap and hip hop and even though punk was my first love I always had interest in making both. In collage an old bandmate & I started experimenting with underground boom bap style hip hop in a group called Cult Cipher; Where I got my feet wet in the rap scene and got to open for a lot of our favorite big name acts in CA. Since then I've mainly focused on my solo stuff. It's heavier than the old school hip hop stuff that I started on, very dark and bass heavy with elements of rap, punk, trap and trap metal. If we're talking musically my influences range from rap to hardcore and punk. S%#T like Black Flag, Integrity and Earth Crisis to Evidence, Atmosphere and Eyedea & Abilities. I always vibed with dark and sad music that held a lot of emotion, even when it comes to rap. Eyedea is definitely one of my biggest influences lyrically. Also they were one of the first ALT rap groups I've ever heard. The reason I manley just focus on my solo act now is because of how unbelievably difficult it is to maintain a successful group balancing everyone's different schedules and conflicting life directions. I'd have to say that's been one of my biggest hurdles. For a while we were building a strong following locally, and otherwise. It got to a point where we were playing out almost every weekend. Getting bigger and bigger shows and with an increasing fan base. It really got to the point where it felt like we could actually take it to the next level. Instead of pursing that, one member moved to LA to pursue other interests while the other one joined the military. All love to those dudes but I'm glad I can say I'm still actively and seriously making music. I wouldn't give this S%#T up for anything. Working with promoters in the rap scene has definitely been a learning experience to say the least and with humor. Growing up in the DIY punk scene it was a tight knit community where shadiness and bad business was not welcomed. I wish I could say I had the same experience doing rap but that definitely hasn't been the case. That's not to say there aren't solid promoters in the rap game (SHOUT OUT to Sina, Cinikill and Tirso) but it's a lot more shifty. Though that can be a challenge, touring is my favorite part about this, hands down the best part of the music business, for me, at least. Nothing beats being on the road traveling, rockin' a stage in a new city every night. I've toured with my last and most successful band Lifeless, as well as my solo rap S%#T. Definitely had to learn the Ins and outs from booking to promo and management. That's a whole different beast all on its own. This far I'd say the last West Coast Weekend Warrior Tour was a huge accomplishment. I got to headline with my boy KNG$. It was a short run but it was solid and we're definitely going to hit the road again together forsure. One thing I'd say is that this career is not time sensitive! In rap there is this stigma that if you 'don't make it' by a certain age that it will never happen and that's just not true. Only a lucky few are discovered early! The rest of us have to grind that S%#T out boi! That said, I also encourage musicians to make music for yourself first and for most. The only way you're ever going to make it is if you never stop, even if it takes forever and it just might. Things I'm currently working on and focusing on right now is dropping a new single per month for the next 6 months and I have a good amount of features upcoming. I'm still new to AZ but I've linked up with my boy Brett Deadly, have a spot to record and the dude is a musical genius. All I'm gonna say about the future is I've got a lot heat in the works, that's for sure.
