Metaphysical Shop Rated: E to PG Instagram, TikTok and Facebook: Majestic Mystics Website(coming soon!): Majesticmystics.com Celebrating my birthday in 2021 I journeyed to Jerome, Arizona (Every Arizonan's second home) to attend the Spooky Shops event that was being held there that year. I found so many amazing creators during that market but one who truly made my birthday unforgivable and meaningful was the fantastic sisterhood of Majestic Mystics. With down to earth energy and smiles amidst their travels to be there, their personalities alone were such a treasure and gift that day. They had absolutely mind blowing product knowledge and protected me from my allergens. After a brief consultation about my practice and things that I enjoy working with, I was lead to a Mabon candle that I gawked over and held a lot of love for me being an autumn child, I also I brought home a few other items for my practice that would amplify my own energy work and uplift my environment. Since then, I look for them at every market to continue learning and to snag a warm hug from them. We keep in touch and we always hold a positive and uplifting space for each other. Getting to hear their story was a personal treat for me that I'm very excited to share, these two amazing individuals have helped me grow and keep my sanity for the past few years. Yes, the candle I got, despite lighting it frequently, lasted me years and I always thought of them as my home filled with calming and earthy aromas.
Our passion is creating artistically driven keepsakes and functional practice enhancers that incorporate metaphysical beliefs of a variety of backgrounds.
We like to use energy, celestial cycles, herbs and crystals in this process. Because we are a little neurodivergent these creations span many different mediums and styles from jewelry, sculpting, candles, x-acto created 3D shadow box art and whatever else we are guided to create. We absolutely LOVE making custom pieces with personal power items that people trust us with to create jewelry they can wear from their own collections. We believe these items assist people with their journey to help carry and support them in beautiful and unique ways. Their influences: Casey says: I guess Grandma would be my biggest influence because she was true to her weird ways and didn't care who called BS or otherwise.
Jessica says: I'd have to say my daughters Nana was a great influence to me because when I was younger I was spiritually conflicted. She helped me realize how to embrace ALL of my belief systems and that there is no "wrong" way to practice your beliefs. It's almost like she gave me permission (confirmation?) to keep pursuing the development of my gifts and that there's ROOM for all of it.z
Turning our creative outlets and talents into a business, the biggest hurdle would have to be the business end of things as far as legalities surrounding a business goes, or AZ taxes etc. Overcoming the business stuff is a work in progress because we learn from our mistakes and seek out clarification from our resources. Now that it's been a few years since we've launched we are becoming more comfortable knowing we are doing things legitimately from a legal standpoint. This helps the creative process flow more naturally when you don't have to "worry" that you're going to be penalized in some way if you make an ignorant mistake. Aside from learning the legalities from a business standpoint, our biggest lessons was learning our boundaries! This came from a very....."un-aware" client that wanted custom work that turned into quite an ordeal, but a fabulous lesson for us. When in doubt; take deposits. ALSO, it's OKAY to decline requests and say no. It's okay to restrict access to your energy work. I think at first it was hard for us to say "no" because we naturally aim to please. Things became easier when we found our voice. The most wholesome and favorite part of our journey is spending all of that SISTER time together. We get to uplift each others creations and we are each so proud of each other, especially hearing the other one talk up our creations at live events and explaining the creation process... Just makes us proud to SHARE that endeavor with each other. Our biggest accomplishments are the personal growth we've developed: Casey says: Biggest accomplishment is continuing our slow roll knowing we are and will be gaining momentum.
Jessica says: Finding our target audience. We started out with so many different ideas... I feel the biggest sense of accomplishment when we actually CONNECT with our purpose and our audience- then it's much easier to streamline our direction and find our style. A stigma that we would change is that our creations are for a select niche and fit into a realm of a certain aesthetic. We create tools infused with intention that are designed to aid in a variety of styles of practice. Sometimes there's stigma that follows the practitioners of danger, corruption or darkness that follows the "unknown" or occult lifestyles. We get asked often to define some of the symbolism you'll commonly see on magickal items, many of these people agree they were taught to fear these things as evil that they didn't understand- and we are always happy to clarify and empower people with knowledge! Advice to the readers: Casey's advice would be to make your business a business and don't treat it like a hobby expecting it to be more than that. If you want it to sustain you, you have to nurture it to a place where it's healthy enough to do that....and you don't do that through neglect.
Jessica says: Don't let fear and doubts hold you back. Create with purpose, and what is meant for you will find you. There will be ruts, you may have creative blocks along the way....take a moment if you need to, but stick with it, find your inspiration and get back to it. Don't let the lows distract you from the highs!
